Introduction to Telecom Networks and Services

It was a pleasure giving a talk about telecom networks and services as part of the introductory TMT Series for new consultants entering Axon Consulting. Thanks for trusting me to do it.

I started the talk with some basic concepts to warm up before presenting a historical perspective on the evolution of telecom networks and services, along with brief high-level techno-economic insights. Then, I shared my personal view of the trends I spot in the industry, and how they have evolved, connecting them with other topics the series of previous expert talks touched upon. Finally, we ended up with an open Q&A session from the audience, with questions related to regulation, and specific technical details of networks and services.

For this session, I thoroughly revamped the material from previous talks on telecom networks I have had the opportunity to give to Axon consultants during company meetings and extended it to touch topics related to telecom services. I hope the talk was useful and insightful on topics that consultants will definitely have to deal with during their professional careers.
