I am reviewing the results for the survey on the Intro to ICT course I teach at UPM. Many many thanks to the 39 students (out of the 100 enrolled in my classes) that took the time to answer the questionnaire about my teaching. Impossible though it may seem, I am truly happy to see that I improved last year’s figures, and achieved an average score of 9.6/10. Special thanks for the supportive comments and constructive suggestions to improve the teaching and this particular subject.

Regarding the course itself, only eight students from my groups provided feedback, giving it an average score of 8.8/10. Overall, the evaluation was positive, with students asking for more practical exercises showing real-world examples. Since we are revamping the contents next year, this survey will be valuable in helping us adapt and make the course more appealing for future generations of telecom engineers. Moreover, I will be developing a new optional practical subject to allow first-year students to apply the basic telecom engineering knowledge taught in this course and undertake their first “engineering challenge”.
